Mindfulness Movement & Meditation Practice

The TresVitas method involves three components. Body awareness, visualisation and relaxation. The practice involves creating a deep sense of awareness into your internal landscape through visualisation. Using the gentle foundational movements of Qigong during meditation allows your body to settle and soften, which sends a message to your autonomic nervous system “hey… you’re protected and secure, it’s okay to be in rest and repair mode.” This in turn creates a space for deep relaxation and an awakening of the connection into your inner world and how this affects your movement through the outer world. Your body is always working towards balance or “homeostasis” and using the tools of mindfulness, meditation & movement based on the ancient art of Qigong, gives your body permission to do just that… rest, repair and rejuvenate.

Connection to the use of all five of your senses: sight, sound, scent, touch and taste, allows your conscious awareness to develop the practice of mindfulness. Simply put, “Mindfulness is awareness of the present moment.” Your feeling body may often get disconnected from your mind and you can end up on “autopilot” following and attaching to stories created within your inner vision. Stressful situations and the stories created by them, keep your body in “fight or flight” mode. Enhancing your awareness of your internal systems gives you the ability to calm your mind and allows your autonomic nervous system to move out of “fight or flight” and back into “rest and repair.” This is incredibly beneficial to your overall sense of wellbeing.

This process of mindfulness, helps to reconnect the mind/body experience and promotes a sense of wellness and ease within yourself. It is a simple practice that can be done anytime or anywhere to bring down cortisol levels in the brain and regain your equilibrium should feelings of stress or overwhelm from daily occurrences create disharmony in the mind/body.

Much of modern life disconnects us from our ability to access our Interoception.  This is contemporarily defined as the sense of the internal state of the body. This can be both conscious and non-conscious. It encompasses the brain’s process of integrating signals relayed from the body into specific subregions—like the brainstem, thalamus, insula, somatosensory, and anterior cingulate cortex—allowing for a nuanced representation of the physiological state of the body.

In the TresVitas mindfulness, moving meditative practice, the focus of the work is to leave you feeling enlivened, enlightened and in control of your own energy flow.

Whether you choose to to follow one discipline or many, the core principles of the TresVitas method align themselves with your chosen passion in life. Balance, harmony and a feeling of well-being as you move throughout your life is crucial to becoming your most authentic self. No matter what life offers up to you, windfalls or washouts, TresVitas allows you to find your inner strength and utilise it.

Every individual has the ability to enhance their sense of well-being and conscious awareness of how they move through time and space. Your practice needs to suit you and your needs above all else. You are absolutely capable of becoming your own “Master” using the TresVitas method.
