There is a difference between “NEED” vs “WANT” when we understand the difference between the two… we unlock the mysteries of life.
Contentment is being at ease within oneself and within the environment in which we exist.
Complacency is the fracking of the heart and mind, insidious in its nature and pervasive in societies that have the benefit of having all their needs met.
Avarice is a hole in the heart which burrows into to soul, this hole cannot be filled with material goods or accolades. When the heart has a feeling of fullness, the hole is being filled. Understanding and compassion go a long way to filling up the hole.
Happiness radiates, unhappiness rages, the causes of each of these states of being cannot be trivialised. One leads to contentment the other to contention. Only the individual can decide which road they take.
Suffering is an internal reaction to external forces, oppression and greed are the parents of suffering. However, we can also manifest our own suffering by living a life filled with disappointment of our unmet expectations of those around us.
Joyfulness is the feeling I get when I feel genuinely connected to those I share my existence with. Sadness is the disconnect. Like the current on a river, I let my feelings flow over and around me, swirling, moving, ever changing, this is the nature of my universe.
Each day dawns anew as do I, what life has in store for me I cannot know…what I do within this life and the circumstances I find myself in, is entirely up to me.
“Dance like everyone is watching and you don’t give a S#*T!”
